Weekly Report 02/09/2018
Although the river remains very, very low, fish now seem to be getting desperate and are running in to Beat One, and probably in to the lower main river as well. Sadly, they are not venturing as far as the Private Beat.
Although the low water conditions hamper fishing effort, the Caithness District Salmon Fishery Board have used these conditions to undertake a massive Juvenile salmon survey ( some of which has been at the behest of Marine Scotland) and the results have been nothing short of magnificent. This has to be good news for anglers of the future.
