The drought continues. Much has been made of the 1976 drought but I have come across a photo album from 1984 and it is very, very similar to river heights of the present day and `76 ! We are very fortunate in that the fish that are present in the river are safely tucked up in deep holes. There are as many fish in the Estuary as I have ever seen in fifty plus years. One wonders if they knew of the impending dry conditions and took their time arriving. All I can say is that the Thurso stocks are as good as ever.
