The returns from The Private Beat and Beat One didn`t take too long to count up this month. it is well over forty years since I have seen the river so low so early. On the positive side, we are seeing head after head of salmon in the Estuary which bodes well for the Angler when the rains finally arrive. Now that I have given you the doom and gloom I can tell you that an Angler, Mr. David Polson by name, took seven fish off the Sauce Pool in the early part of the week !!
