Although both Beat One and the Private Beat have produced a couple of Grilse the conditions are becoming such that it will soon be very difficult for any fish to access the river. I can never remember the Loch and river being as low as this so early. I have seen it in late July on very dry years. My Pal "Eric" took to the trout lochs and even met with difficulty there. He found that the normal floating line tactic just did not work and had to fish an intermediate and he had some great sport on several of the Hill Lochs.
