For those who have not had the pleasure of reading "The History of Salmon Fishing On The River Thurso" by Malcolm Dutchamn -Smith, I truly recommend it as a very enjoyable and informative read. Malcom has fished ( still does) the Thurso for almost forty years and you can feel his affinity with the river. If you are looking for a nice Birthday gift ----or even an early purchase for a Christmas present, then I thoroughly recommend it. It is published by Medlar Press.
