Although Beat One and the Private Beat have produced in the course of the week, there are those who are voicing the opinion that there are a lack of fish. I do not agree with this. A good friend who has fished for nearly all of his life ( there are those who believe that he is Methuselah`s older brother) has been bending my ear for some time now about his observations. For the purpose of this story, we will just call him Eric, ( his real name is Pat Quinn !!) he made much of a recent experience when fishing the Sauce Pool and this incredible hatch of Olives appeared and not one trout showed any interest. I have banged on for many years about atmospherics,and both Pat and I believe that there is something in the atmosphere which is keeping "all" fish down.
