Although the river is dropping off there are a lot of fish around. They seem to only be "Takers" in the lower reaches of the river before seemingly disappearing. The atmospheric conditions have been very poor. When you hear that the streets of Thurso are running with water and there is absolutely nothing six miles away in Halkirk it gives an idea of what the fish are being subjected to.
