The tropical weather that has invaded Caithness just lately has more or less brought and end to any salmon fishing activity. With water temperatures in the early twenties Centigrade most anglers have not even visited the river. There are some thunderstorms forecast for early next week. I am very concerned that we might get a substantial rise in levels from some feeder burns without back up from Loch More. If that happens we might have many of the fish that are in the Estuary enter the system and almost immediately have river levels drop back to what they are at present. We will have to hope and pray that we do not experience this !!!
