This bitingly cold wind has persisted throughout the week. It has changed direction several times but continues to be difficult. The feature of the week has been the number of fish that have been hooked and lost. What has been very heartening is the quality of the fish. I have seldom seen salmon in such good condition. It was terrible to see these emaciated fish arriving from the sea a few years ago but it is a pleasure these fish today. If there was a problem with our salmon locating the feeding grounds, then that seems to have been resolved.
