At last----we have some November weather in November! Jamie had been watching the fish in the upper reaches behaving oddly and did not understand why. Last night (Friday) Loch More rose over five feet in twelve hours. Thankfully the rainfall took place from Dalnawillan downriver so no harm would have been done to any of the redds in the upper areas. I have been associated with the Thurso for over sixty years and I have never seen the Loch rise so rapidly. Incredibly, none of the major burns below Loch More rose significantly.
