Weekly Report 11/09/2022
In early to midweek the upper reaches above Loch More ( mainly in the Red Burn and Rumsdale Water areas) enjoyed significant rainfall which helped Loch More rise about five feet in level. There was virtually no rainfall below the Loch but some small burns did lift levels at the Halkirk gauge to 9 inches.
One would have thought that the Dalnaha Straight ( the final mile before the upper river enters Loch More) would still be in good condition today. Not so!! It was almost as if the rainfall didn`t happen. This is probably testament to just how dry the area was.
