Weekly Report 26/12/2021
Firstly, I must apologise for the absence of the Loch More camera which is in the process of being rectified thanks to Clyne who has been on a very icy roof dealing with it.
You will be able to see from the Halkirk camera the big metal cattle feeder that I spoke of a couple of weeks ago.
I am sure that this will be removed shortly.
I have been involved in the Fishery world since I was fifteen years of age ( 74 in January) and I can never remember a time when Fishery Owners and Managers were in greater need of a break!! Dealing with the lack of Anglers due to Covid and then having serious low water conditions inflicted upon them we can only hope for better times in 2022.
It has to be remembered that a river is a living entity and, as such, requires almost constant financial input. The river banks alone are in need of regular attention for the safety of Anglers and the well being of the river itself. Having been at the sharp end of catering for these needs, it would do no harm for everyone concerned to take a step back and be thankful to those who undertake and finance the works that are carried out to help maintain our rivers for our benefit.
