My heart goes out to all anglers who had set time aside to come North on a fishing trip this Summer! Everything that could go wrong has done just that. We have had freezing temperatures, severe gales, flat calms, bright brassy skies and eventually, a river with no water! There are very few words of comfort to offer other than to say that there are huge numbers of fish in the Estuary who, when the rainfall does arrive, will enter the system to spawn which will ensure plenty of fish for their next visit ??
