We have blanked on both the Private Beat and Beat One this week. It has been rather a strange week with a rapidly dropping river coupled with water temperatures hanging just above freezing. There were big tides at the beginning of the week but this seems to have been negated somewhat by conditions. My annual visit from the Oyster Catchers happened in mid-week and they seem to be selecting the same nesting sight as the have done in the past.
