Weekly Report 10/05/2020
In a normal year I would have spent a lot of time every day from mid April through to the end of May on the riverbank looking for migrating smolts so as to gauge how healthy the outgoing stock was. Not so, in this most strange of years.
There is so much uncertainty as to what we are allowed to do on a daily basis that I have decided not to do so this year. Hopefully, there will be someone undertaking this essential task.
Many years ago the sitting Parliament asked wordsmith William Shakespeare for advice on how best to address people so as to be understood and this is still practised today. He penned this ditty for them:
One fine day in the middle of the night
Two dead men got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Then drew their swords and shot one another.
Maybe that will help you come to an understanding !!!!
