Weekly Report 12/04/2020
Despite the present lockdown I still manage my daily stroll down the road past the Salmon Hatchery. When I say stroll I do not mean as in "walk". What happens is this, I go to the roadside door and Isobel comes along with the wheelbarrow (it`s blue) and I jump in. We make our way down past the Salmon Hatchery where, over sixty years ago, I would be in the building with my Grandfather picking out and dead eggs to prevent contamination of other eggs. In those days there was no electricity and we would be working in the light of an old Tilley lamp. As we continue on our journey down toward Braal Castle there are days when I want to feel the sensation of the wind blowing through my hair so I just have the old nag gee up a bit and it works perfectly.
I can only assume that Isobel gains as much enjoyment from this trip as I do as I have never heard her gasp one word of complaint !!
