With drier, warmer conditions Loch Nam Fear provided a calm and relaxing days fishing. The trout, although plentiful and showing regularly, proved reluctant to take early on and those that did take failed to stick.
Eventually the best flies were identified and the Loch began to give up its bounty. Nothing was easy though, each of the 5 fish caught proved to be a challenge and what beautiful specimens they were.
A quick cast on Loch Willan on the way home proved to be as expected with much smaller trout eagerly awaiting the fly thus giving little of the satisfaction of the day on Nam Fear in its wonderful setting.
