In the past few weeks I have been speaking to many very experienced anglers with many, many years in the bag. They have all reached the conclusion that this is, and has been, a very strange year. These people were not just referring to the rivers of the North , but throughout Scotland. There is nothing to pinpoint what is going on and these people were too wise to offer opinions. Prime example today:: Pat Quinn was fortunate enough to have been invited to fish Beat Ten on the Thurso. We had a perfect combination, perfect water, good overhead conditions and a very good angler. Result---ZERO. I think that I will hold back from offering an opinion also !!
