Report:
At lunchtime I had a call from Dockers who was fishing the Private beat. He told me that it took all of his fifty plus years of salmon fishing experience to identify that the fish which he had just returned was in fact a very well mended Kelt. One can understand the dilemma of Lord Thurso`s son who thought he had landed a fresh fish just over a week ago.
The sub committee which the Chairman of TAA appointed to report on the state of the riverbanks has come back to him with their initial thoughts and, Pat and Jamie were on the beat with the chosen Contractor this afternoon identifying the initial repairs that they require to be sorted out.
The Contractor suggested that it would be best if he didn`t make a start until the banks and access became a little firmer. This was agreed.
